Cross Country – Stowupland High School – 25th September
On Tuesday after school those children in KS2 who wanted to were able to take part in the local cross country competition at Stowupland High School. When we got there some of the high school students lead the warm up session. After that we grouped in our schools at the start line and the man in charge gave us a talk about where to run and gave us some safety advice to avoid the rabbit holes. He then blew the whistle which signalled the start of the race, which was 2km long. Everyone set off, some people started by sprinting whilst others were jogging. Every one of our team finished. Imogen won first place, her time breaking the record held for the last six years, Mohammed was second and Ella came third. Now came the school team’s result which was second place. Well done to everyone who took part, we are all very proud of your personal achievements.
