Our current value we are exploring in assemblies is: PERSERVERANCE.
Our School Worship Team (pictured below) are fantastic! They are in charge of organising collective worship in our school. Recently, they have recorded videos of Bible stories and wrote questions to help each class explore the story they had chosen. They also helped to plan our school Remembrance service and our Easter service.
In our school, our daily assemblies are planned to be:
·Inclusive: something for children and staff, of all faiths or of none, to be able to join in with.
·Inspirational: a time in the day to think about the big questions in our lives; an occasion that supports the school community’s spiritual development, creating an opportunity to gather around and reflect on a common theme.
·Invitational: children and staff are invited to pray, think, or reflect. It is each child’s choice how they respond.
In Key Stage 2, children have an opportunity to lead the worship sessions themselves. On Fridays, we come together as a whole school to celebrate our achievements.
