Today, October 4th 2021, our little village school turns 150 years old. How amazing is that!?
As a team and a community we couldn't be prouder of our school and all of the people involved in the day to day running of what we do.
To celebrate we invited everyone to dress up in Victorian inspired outfits, and we were not disappointed! Please check our the class pages and the gallery for some pictures of what everyone looked like.
We were so lucky to be able to have All Drone UK LTD to come visit on the day, and take some incredible shots of the grounds and all our children out on the field marking out the numbers '150'.
Our lunch was a modern replica of what they were served on that very first day, Roast Beef, enjoyed by many!
Our teachers all embraced the old styles of teaching, with some becoming strict and enforcing more rules, some split boys and girls, and some did drills with their children if they answered a question wrong! The children definitely prefer the teaching methods of the 21st Century.
At the end of the day we were able to welcome in lots of our parents to see everyone dressed up, and to also commemorate the opening of our brand new outdoor classroom. We had our oldest and youngest pupils in the school, ceremoniously cut the ribbon to mark the occasion.
A fabulous day had by all.
