Our PE Vision

At Creeting St Mary, it is our vision to use PE and School Sport to develop pupils who; are Independent, are motivated, who are active and work as part of a team in a confident, and caring way.  Our children should see physical activity as a normal part of the day, including PE lessons, play leader sessions at lunchtimes and a variety of enrichment sessions. This is as well as having the opportunity to try a wide range of sports, including those that they may not have come across before.  In addition to this our aim is to develop socially and mentally aware and resilient children that grow through activity and competition, against themselves and others.

Teaching PE at Creeting St Mary CEVAP

At Creeting St Mary, we have chosen to use the Get Set 4 PE scheme to support our physical education.  This scheme has been written with careful consideration of the aims of the National Curriculum, to ensure that children are given a wealth of opportunities to develop their physical skills as well as developing the whole child.  Each lesson has progressive activities that are designed to inspire and engage, allowing the children to explore and develop skills and embed knowledge. These lessons are taught by either the class teacher or Liam from Maestros and each class has PE for 2 hours per week.

The boys and girls football teams played friendly matches against Stonham Aspel Primary losing 4.1 and 2.1 respectively
