Residential Trip

Residential Trip for Year 5 and 6 - 1st October 2018

Last week 24 Year 5 and 6 pupils along with Mr Palmer, Ms Wilson and Mrs Crockett went on a residential visit to Oaker Wood in Herefordshire. It took us 5 and a half hours to get there so we had to leave school at 6:30am. I was quite tired. We did lots of fun activities. The first day included lots of different activities around the woods and we settled into our pods before having sweet and sour chicken for dinner. After dinner we had some free time before we toasted marshmallows around the fire and had a drink of hot chocolate, then went to bed. The next day we received our harnesses, were shown how to put these on, had a safety briefing and then we were split into two groups. Both groups did monkey climbing, crate stacking, zip wires, paintballing, pizza making, woodland walk, high ropes and rifle range shooting. It was enormous fun and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you to parents for letting us go and to Mr Palmer, Ms Wilson and Mrs Crockett for looking after us.
