Remote Learning COVID 19

Since March 2020 we have been living with the Coronavirus and we have been adapting to the necessary restrictions put in place to keep the whole school and our community safe. Please find below some information which you may find helpful to share how we are working together with families to delivery remote learning.

Our number one priority is that our children stay safe and mentally healthy. We asked them to tell us what they missed most during the first school lockdown and they said their friends. We have included in our remote learning a live weekly get-together session to share news, thoughts, birthdays and to have some fun with friends, teachers and TAs.

Parents and carers told us they wanted lessons which didn't dictate a specific time things had to be done, especially where they have more than one child needing support or access to computers and where they themselves were working from home. They also said that they would like to be able to access teaching staff if needed. Our timetables are planned so that teachers are teaching in school in the mornings but are available for telephone calls, emails or video calls each afternoon.
