Praying For Our School

Praying for our School
Dear God,

Please bless us all as we return to school and remember those who can't come back. Please protect us as we try to make this feel normal and we thank you for looking over us so far through this journey.

Amen.

by Jess, Year 6

As we look towards possibly opening up our school after half term, Rev’d Philip Payne and I have been planning a small, socially distanced service at school where we will ask God to bless our school family, protect us all and surround us with His peace.

Sadly, we would be unable to invite families to this service but we would love for the children to still be involved by writing prayers for us to use.

For our youngest children, this could be a picture of the school and a short sentence if they wish to add one. For our older children this could be a prayer thanking God for our school and asking for His blessing. I know some members of Chestnut and Birch have written some wonderful Rainbow prayers in the past and some super acrostics poem prayers too. Any contribution, in any form, would be wonderful!

We will then say these prayers in the service and look to create a school prayer book to mark the reopening of school.

Please can these prayers and/or pictures be sent, either as a photo, word document or in the text of email to Miss Cutts at Chestnut@creetingstmary.suffolk.sch.uk

Thank you
